Llama...Llama....

Have you ever read the Llama books?
It is really a great series, and we own three of the books in our library at home. Emma L*O*V*E*S Llamas!!! If you have not read the Valentine post go back to it before you read further). ;-)
In true Emma fashion she does NOT do anything until SHE is ready to.
PERIOD.
And, that is fine with us because she keeps us in suspense with what she is capable of.
;-)
The summer after Emma turned 5 years old she slowly began to draw pictures and write her letters.
So, mind you she has NOT been creating her works of art for very long. (She will turn 7 this May).
As I said, Emma obsesses over LOVES Llamas. One afternoon I gave both Emma and Sophie empty albums to turn into their own books. Uh-do you want to guess what Emma's book is about?!
:-P

Hmmmm-alright, I can see that I uploaded this picture sideways. I will be more careful next time. ANYWAY....
Is this the CUTEST valentine that you have ever seen or what?!
Sophie drew a picture of herself and Emma holding hands. :) I believe that Greg and I...plus a mysterious 3rd person are off to the side.
It is just adorable. I love my little Sophie!!!

The Valentine's Celebration has Begun!

The Valentines Day hoopla began here yesterday. The girls & I got down to work in the afternoon: them finishing Valentines cards (all by themselves-yeah!!) and ME making homemade pizzas for Emma's class party and baking cookies for teachers gifts and the Grandparents. (Yes that was a run on sentence, I know-but I have A LOT to say). ;) Emma's class party this morning was SO cute and a lot of fun. My Emma did REALLY well with the organized chaos! And, Sophie was thrilled to eat some pizza and watch everybody. When I asked Emma what theme she wanted on her Valentine Mail Box she informed me in no uncertain terms~LLAMAS. So, Llamas it was. She made a LOT of her box by herself. She is getting very artistic and crafty. Of course my little peanut Sophie was glaring at me as I assisted Emma with her box....so, I promised her that we'd make one for her today. Which we did. :) With out further adue, enjoy the pictures...........

Bubble Wrap

Emma and Sophie were awake a bit later than usual last night. (They are normally in bed between 6:30~7:30 P.M...). The doorbell rang at 7:35 PM. Lo and behold my NEW BREAD MAKER was delivered! (Do I have a wonderful husband or what???!!!). Being Food Network fans the ladies were delighted with the delivery. Emma asked "Is it like the Barefoot Contessa's"?
;-)
BUT, even more exciting than the appliance was the BUBBLE WRAP.
Emma has never really been that excited about bubble wrap. AND, Sophie did not even really realize what bubble wrap is capable of.
The above statement can now be retracted.
Emma ripped the bubble wrap out of the box. And, never one to be left behind...Sophie discovered the joys of bubble wrap as well.
Oh dear, it seriously sounded like the Fourth of July in our living room!!! They squeezed it with their little fingers. They jumped on it. They crawled on it. They even rolled over it. They shreeked in delight and giggled until they lost their breath.
Greg and I were laughing too...it really WAS funny!!!
And, when the last bubble was popped about 20 minutes later they went off to bed.
