Saturday, February 26th was Emma's FIFTH Gotcha Day! We did a lot of reminicing as we seem to do each year. We always laugh and get a bit teary eyed too!
Ah, just so many memories!!!!
If I close my eyes I can immediately picture Emma as a 21.5 month old BABY. I remember her drooly mouth and fat neck.
:-)
There are no words to describe how proud we are of you Emma. You've come such a long way over the past 5 years.
You are AMAZING and WE LOVE YOU!
"Wo Ai Ni, Emma Can Ni"!
Emma wanted a frog (yes, frog) cake for her special day. I made my best attempt with what was in my pantry & whipped up one from scratch. She grazed on it starting around 8 AM. (So did Sophie)! After our healthy breakfast Emma got to open her gifts! We started with a sweet card given to her by her awesome teachers. Next, she was thrilled to open a silly little helecopter toy-the girls loves anything with a propeller or blade. ;-P
THEN we opened her "China Presents"; this year she recieved beautiful bamboo, hand painted bookmarks and a pair of authenic chopsticks. So cool!
Next, we went to Cracker Barrel for lunch per Emma's request. She savored her Mac & Cheese like she was dining in a fine restaurant in Paris. ;-)
Both she and Sophie had THE BEST manners!
After lunch was white trash heaven our usual Saturday trip to the public library.
AND, then we went HOME.
We enjoyed homemade pizza's for dinner along with some good old quality family time.
:-)
It was a GOOD day. So very good.
