~Spending Sunday with Emma & Sophie~

After lunch we took Emma & Sophie to the zoo. We walked around the ENTIRE perimeter of the zoo & visited some different exhibits that we normally do not see. Of course THEY were only interested in TWO things today; #1 The Penguins and #2 ANY bridge that was in sight. All that I can say is that these two little girls are unique! :) They enjoyed themselves and they were well behaved so I guess that I can not complain!

Getting ready to leave for the zoo and apparently rather impatient about taking a picture. You'd think that they'd be used to me by now! ;) Sophie was not smiling here; but I thought that she looked very beautiful anyway. :)
Watching the Penguins....Emma is making her "big eyes"....

Content in the stroller and not wanting to get out for a closer look.
Sophie blurted out "There it is"!
The source of their amusement.
One last look before heading off in search of bridges...After the zoo we stopped by our local grocery store for a few things. The girls love visiting Dillon's-I really don't know why?! I took the following pictures to show everybody how Emma & Sophie ride during every shopping trip. They BOTH insist riding in the back of the cart and expect to eat snacks the whole time. They LIKE having the groceries piled on top of them while shopping too. Yes, really! :)
Here they are with Daddy!
Buried under groceries and enjoying themselves! :)

TO TIDE YOU ALL OVER... ... ...

It has been brought to my attention that I haven't updated the blog lately. Um yeah, I guess that I am a little bit behind. Below are the only pictures that I had on my camera, so they will have to satisfy you all for now. :)

The girls are doing well. Emma starts soccer at the YMCA next month & school starts again the very same week! She is excited about both. :) Sophie has turned into a little chatterbox and really has a personality much larger than her little self. Her newest words are: "Want play" and "Where Daddy"? Both girls had Doctor appointments back to back this afternoon. Emma had her school physical and 4 vaccinations (luckily just 3 shots!) and Sophie had a vial of blood drawn to monitor her Hep B status. They were both VERY good and didn't cry! (I bribed them with the promise of candy). :) I had them dressed up and was going to take pictures but my camera battery died-whoops.

THEY BOTH LOOK SO INNCOENT WHILE THEY ARE ASLEEP-DON'T THEY?! :)
EATING A HEALTHY SUMMER LUNCH!
HANGING OUT WITH WITH THEIR BELOVED DADDY BEFORE BED! :)

Family Picture Mishaps: 7/4/2009

We TRIED to take a family picture before heading off to the parade on the morning of the 4th. Emma and Sophie were just NOT cooperating at all & we were not able to get a good shot. Oh well! The following out takes ARE sort of funny...just look at their little faces!!!
